beige.party is one of the many independent Mastodon servers you can use to participate in the fediverse.
A home to friendly weirdos. The Grey Gardens of the Fediverse (but beige). Occasionally graphically cacographic. Definitely probably not a cult (though you'll never be 100% sure). Beige-bless 🙏

Hooray! Hollywood is saved!

Guill.Jones, Honorary Canadian

How on Earth did James Woods and Kevin Sorbo get dropped from Trump's list of Hollywood "ambassadors"?
With honorees like John Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, Trump also had a perfect chance to rehabilitate Harvey Weinstein.
Saw an item on the blower that Gibson didn't find out about this til he saw it on social media. I wonder if Trump bothered to tell any of them beforehand.

@Guillotine_Jones I thought about a Weinstein comeback last night. I'm totally on the same page as you. I would not be surprised if he produces a new movie in the next few years, and I wouldn't even be shocked if Tarantino directs it. I feel like he could totally depoliticize the matter to justify this. @TheBreadmonkey

Something about great minds thinking alike, Claude.
In other news that rhymes with this, it turns out that the director chosen by Jeff Bezos's Prime to direct a $40-million biography of "Albert Einstein," visa recipient Melania Knaus Trump, is Brett Ratner.
Ratner's Wikipedia entry includes THIS tidbit: "In 2017, numerous women in Hollywood came forward with allegations of misconduct against Ratner. This resulted in his business deals and prospective film projects getting canceled or scrapped, and he hasn't actively worked in Hollywood since 2018."
The more you know, the worse this Gilded Age 2.0 seems.
