@DaleOh It's not a choice, at least it wasn't for me.
@DaleOh What if someone born in August starts "identifying" as a Pisces? Do you have any idea what kind of chaos that would cause?
@DaleOh Nonono, it is important.
When my former daughter became my son, I felt I had little choice but to act like a true dad (with dad jokes) and, therefore, instantly declared that from now on, I (literally) no longer had a daughter.
Yes, that is how I reacted when my son came out of the closet. It is not difficult if you want your kids to be happy.
Besides, he always loved my "dad jokes." His reply was somewhat: "NO, but, also YES, and, aargh! ... DAD!"
@DaleOh That slippery slope towards equality.
And we can't have that!

@anne_twain@theblower.au @DaleOh@beige.party Oh nooo NOT the evil of equality, love, and kindness... the most evil of things /sarcasm
@DaleOh I think it scares some people that if genders are allowed to move around, why their own gender might sneak out of the house during a nap and never come back.
Genders out there, running loose, free - it'd be Anarchy!
@DaleOh@beige.party Next would be letting people decide on their surname
@DaleOh "What's next? Transspecies?? RIDICULOUS!"
(context: I'm transspecies :3)
