@Alice Hey - Lobsterfest is Back!
@Alice
I hate chain restaurants so much.
@the_etrain @Alice They’re lifesavers if you have kids but I understand your sentiment. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food, but I like to do something different on vacation
@Alice So distinctively Hawaiian!
@Alice it reminds me of beautiful east Saint Louis
@Alice@beige.party Hawaii Denny's? pretty sweet!
@Alice The true gems of US culture
@Alice I thought Red Lobster was stripped for parts?
@4d3fect This Red Lobster was definitely still celebrating the spirit of LobsterFest.
@Alice hey we have an Olive Garden now, too
@chad And a Macaroni Grill!
@Alice I lived in Vegas for a while and there's a Denny's on the strip that is always packed
gonna go to one of the best places in the world for food and eat at Denny's, mhm
@Alice where’s the photo of the Tony Roma’s? Gotta catch em all!
No TGIFridays?
@Jorsh Unfortunately not.
No Chipotle? What if you want that effervescent, fiery output?
@Alice I think I’ve eaten at that cheesecake factory
@vmstan I definitely bought a slice of cheesecake from there on Pi Day.
@Alice Reminds me of when I went to Scotland and found myself in a mall, visiting the Disney Store and eating at Burger King. Another night we went to KFC.
@Alice At least you found the good chains, in as much as there is such a thing.
wow . . . just like in america . . .
@Alice There is nothing like experiencing exotic local cuisine when you travel.
And that is nothing like experiencing the exotic local cuisine. I salute you!
@Alice I hope you tried all of their exotic dishes.
@LoganFive I got a Moons Over My Hammy with one of your Denny's coupons!
@Alice Oh, I remember those! I’m glad they didn’t expire.
@LoganFive When I was in college, Denny's was the place to be for everything. I dare to count the many meals I had there while studying in a booth, hanging out, etc. It seemed like everyone in college got a job there. They must have had a loss line on their financial books for all the drink and meal hook-ups college staff gave to their peers.
@paul @LoganFive We had the same! We called it "Punk Rock Denny's." It wasn't specifically punk in any way, but it was just the one Denny's in suburban Detroit where all of the punk/emo/indie kids would hang out each night. One order of fries and unlimited coffee refills all night long.
@Alice @paul @LoganFive One "rule" in my office when travelling to meetings was to never eat at a chain restaurant. One day I was done late for some reason and there was a Denny's right across from the hotel. I just wanted something I could count on! The side eye I got the next day, though...
